Terrain

We are on groomed dirt trails and some board walks for most of the route. Trail has some slight hills. We are expecting the spring mud!

camping 31

Volo Bog is famous becuase it exhibits all stages of bog succession, and is the only bog that still has an open water center surronded by floating mats in the area. This unique habitat brings with it a variety of plant and animal life. We hope to catch the early spring fiddleferns, willows, leatherleaf, marsh marigolds blooms and frogs. Expect about a 3.5 mile hike, with the potential of muddy trails.

Washroom

There are flush toilets in the visitor center.
