Let’s Fully Savor the Outdoor Serenity
We ask you kindly to silence your phones and keep conversations positive.
You Will Learn
We will learn about the history and controversy of these trails, and the controversy of coyote and deer populations.
What to expect
This 3-mile trail with hills varies quite a bit. We will go through woods and fields, and wind along the pretty creek. Spring will be here, as we look for the spring ephemerals and listen to the migrating birds. Parts of the trail is definitely hilly, so the legs will get a bit more of a workout.
Your hiking boots may get muddy on this spring day.
During the hike, there will be a 15-minute section of the trail that is a silent walk, so that each person can more fully appreciate the sounds of nature.

Discussion Starter Question
Side trails, like those we take, are generally not as well marked as the main ones. Side-trail travelers swear that this simply enhances the exploratory excitement…and don’t mind taking some “wrong” turns along the way.
When we take “roads less traveled” in life, we’re bound to amble paths that don’t lead where we expect.
