Fox Bluff Conservation Area on May 28-June 1, 2024
What to expect: Fox Bluff is 279 acres between the Cary Algonquin Road and the Fox River. Our trail is a dirt path that will be mostly in the woods, but we also cross over the wetlands and a beautiful little waterfall. This is another quiet conservation area, so we will see more critters than people. The end of our trail takes us down a slope to the shoreline of the Fox River. If it has recently rained, our boots will probably get muddy.
We will learn about the history of the Conservation area as well as the different wetlands, fens, grasses and sedges.
During the hike, there will be a 15-minute part of the trail that is a silent walk, so that each person can more fully appreciate the sounds of nature.
If you did not fill out the Annual Registration Waiver yet, please add it to the cart.
