Spring Valley Nature Center Oct. 8, 9, 10, 12, 2024
What to expect: Spring Valley Nature Center is a 135-acres of diverse habitats, encompassing mature forests, praire fields, marshes, streams, and even a living heritage farm. This natural sanctuary has been carefully tended to by the Schaumburg Park District and the Spring Valley Nature Club. We will also wander through two groves that feature a variety of native trees and shrubs thoughtfully labeled for educational purposes. An intriguing highlight within the center is a tree that originated from a seedling which voyaged around the moon. This walk will be a delight with the changing colors of trees and variety of meandering paths, while getting a better grasp on all our native trees and shrubs!
